   Holep (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) is a modern laser surgery used to treat enlargement of the prostate gland. It offers an effective option especially for patients suffering from benign prostate enlargement (BPH). 

WHAT IS HOLEP?

   Holep is a surgical technique using a holmium laser. This method cuts out the growing tissue of the prostate gland with a laser and removes the tissue blocking the flow of urine. Holep offers a minimally invasive approach to remove an enlarged prostate and can help patients recover faster.

HOW IS IT PERFORMED?

Recovery: The procedure usually requires the patient to stay in hospital for a few days. Urinary tract discomfort and mild bleeding may be short-lived. Recovery is usually quick and patients can return to their daily lives quickly.

WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?

   Holep is particularly suitable for patients with urinary tract obstruction due to BPH who have not had adequate results from other treatment methods. It is also an effective option for patients with large prostate glands.
